Quest Pro is a device that has been developed under the codename ' Project Cambria ', a full-color pass-through device that allows you to experience not only VR (virtual reality) but also AR (augmented reality), eye tracking, face tracking, etc. It is also equipped with the function of , making it a complete high-end model of Meta Quest 2 . I took a close look at what kind of device such a Quest Pro is while taking pictures with a camera.

The Quest Pro package looks something like this.

The outer box was marked 'for users over the age of 13'.

I removed the outer box.

When opening the lid, the Quest Pro main unit and the Quest Touch Pro VR controller appeared.

This is the main body of Meta Quest Pro.

The actual weight is 714g. When you take it in your hand, the weight is balanced in the front and back, and the center of gravity is just around the center.

Viewed from the front. The visor part is shaped like snow goggles, and the surroundings are reflected like a mirror.

A full-color camera for pass-through just above the central nose. There are sensor cameras for inside-out tracking on both sides of it.

The lens is a pancake lens. The Fresnel lens used in the Quest 2 was characterized by concentric stripes, but the Quest Pro's pancake lens does not have stripes.

Light shielding blockers can be attached to the left and right inside the visor part. The silicon blackout blocker has a built-in magnet and can be easily installed and removed.

The cushion on the inside of the visor is the forehead. The Quest 2 has a cushion that surrounds the visor, but the Quest Pro only has a forehead and is fixed with a plastic nail. The size and distance of the cushion cannot be adjusted, so depending on the shape of the face, it may be necessary to adjust by inserting a towel or handkerchief.

On the left side of the main unit there is a sensor camera for inside-out tracking and a USB Type-C port.

There was a sensor camera for inside-out tracking on the right side of the main unit. A total of four sensor cameras are installed in the Quest Pro main unit.

I saw the main body from below.

Volume control button on the bottom of the right part of the strap. The round hole next to it is the 3.5mm audio output terminal.

There is a power button on the bottom left part of the strap. The round hole above it is the 3.5mm audio output terminal. If you point stereo earphones to either the left or right audio output terminal, you can hear the sound as it is, and you can also insert separate earphones like

the Meta Quest Pro VR earphones into the left and right audio output terminals. With the separate type, you don't have to worry about long earphone cables.

There is a terminal for charging on the bottom of the visor part.

The Quest Pro comes with a dedicated charging dock that allows you to charge the Quest Pro itself and the Quest Touch Pro VR Controller at the same time.

The weight per piece was actually measured 164 g.

I tried holding the Quest Touch Pro VR controller (left). At the top of the panel is a sensor camera for tracking. The X button, Y button, and menu button are arranged.

There is a terminal for charging on the side. In addition, there is a button on the grip part, so you can press it by grasping it. The Quest Touch controller that came with the Quest 2 required a single AA battery, but the Quest Touch Pro VR controller has a built-in rechargeable battery.
